Train Ticket Artworks

A selection of Johnman's train ticket artworks in his inimitable style.  Breathing fresh life into these old objects which will soon be consigned to the history books as we progress into the digital age.

These pieces often use railway tracks as a metaphor for life's journey, with a romantic theme as the ultimate destination.  Each piece captures a snapshot in an individual or couple's which one can stand back and admire, or alternatively, with the use of transparent paint, get up close and muse upon the details printed on the tickets themselves.  Each ticket is a literal snapshot of someone's life, be it to unite with a loved one, a trip to the theatre or a mundane commute to work, there's an untold story contained within.
