Untitled; this painting depicts golden bales in a semi abstract meadow with abhedge and trees behind. As always the bales are painted with Liquid Chrome which makes them really glisten in the light. A hard thing to photograph which doesn't do it justice.
Measuring 46 x 71cm it is presented in a beautiful, black tray / floating frame and is ready to hang.
You’ll often hear artists talk of “happy accidents”; something unintentional about a piece that makes it just so... This one is just an accident!
Busy in prep forRoy's Art Fair I had a studio full of canvases primed and ready to go. When painting this one I grabbed a canvas of the wrong size! Hence it’s shorter and a touch wider than the other rural landscape paintings in the series.
Anyway, I was quite far in before I realised so figured I’d go ahead and finish it anyway and the end result is rather nice. However, usually priced at £450 I’m going let this one go for £350 (framed) so it doesn’t drive me demented when trying to hang my stand.
